An Extraordinary opportunity to Impact What Fills People's Plates

After Bayer acquired the controversial Monsanto, they aimed to revolutionize agriculture with innovation. ‘LEAD MyBayer’ was then born which is an one stop platform to know the potential customers better through easier market analysis and nurture the business by conducting prioritized demand generation activities.

The objective was to modernize the processes of four key members

These individuals are tasked with nurturing enduring relationships with a designated customer portfolio.

PROBLEM

The data collection, validation, and customer information assessment are reliant on manual procedures, which can be as impermanent as writing in water.

Our GOAL

Create a consolidated platform for gathering data on both current and prospective customers. This platform will play a central role in streamlining market analysis and fostering business growth through prioritized demand generation efforts

Bringing the vision to life

Bayer opted to join forces with Cognizant, their esteemed technology partner. This undertaking was a colossal project with the aim of deploying the application in 49 countries worldwide within a span of five years.

As an UX'er, what did I do?

I had the privilege of leading a team of designers in shaping the entire digital experience of these Salesforce’s native apps

Project kicked off in a grand fashion

We maintained continuous dialogue with the client to ensure that all team members remained well-informed and engaged.

We emphasized effective knowledge transfer to lay the groundwork for a successful end product. For more details, click here

Uncovering Our User Terrain

As a design team, we delved into two months of intensive user research. We conducted a series of workshops, some in-person and others remotely, engaging with users from various corners of the globe.

We uncovered valuable insights,  established  user personas, understood the complete user journey, and devised an information architecture based on the research findings.

Our Most Significant Research Discovery: Working Offline is a Must

Among our key research findings, a pivotal one stands out – the complete absence of cellphone reception in remote regions, such as the Philippines, Vietnam, Laos, and more.

This leads us to a critical question: How can the app function in these areas without an internet connection?”

Designing and Testing

We crafted mock screens and ran tests with our end users to gather their feedback. Although initial understanding presented challenges, the overall response was encouraging. Multiple iterations were necessary to arrive at the improved version.

Time for a Visual Upgrade

Our talented visual designers have done a fantastic job enhancing the application. They followed Bayer’s guidelines and created components to streamline our developers’ work.

We build components based on Bayer’s design system guidelines

What’s the Verdict?

As of now, we’ve crossed the 10,000 downloads mark, and the numbers continue to rise. You can easily find the app on the Playstore. It’s a source of daily pride for me, seeing users apply the application we’ve designed in their everyday tasks. The impact extends far beyond Bayer; it resonates globally.

What Are Real Users Saying?

Commendations from Key Decision Makers

One of a designer’s greatest joys is hearing positive feedback from key business stakeholders. Their delight in the design team’s overall performance is genuinely heartening.

What's the Latest?

Even though I’ve moved on from Cognizant, I stay in touch with my former colleagues who’ve informed me that the team is diligently focused on rolling out the application in Vietnam, Taiwan, Thailand, and Indonesia.

Additionally, there’s a dedicated support team handling user feedback and taking prompt actions to resolve any issues.
